Ozren Bilan O. Bilan was born in Split. He graduated with the theme "The Relationship Man - Electroacoustical System From Cybernetic Point Of View" at University of Split, the department of Electrical Engineering on Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Shipbuilding in Split and acquired the title of BSEE (Dipl.Ing. electronics). He completed his education at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University of Split, and passed the Certification exam of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports: Professor of Computer Science - computing. He finished the seminar: Engineers and Technicians of Croatia with mandate for jobs with the powers of supervision and investments activities. Professional seminars: European Clinics, Frankfurt, Zagreb, Altec Lansing (USA) and d&b audiotechnik GmbH, Backnang (Germany), Opatija. After graduation he was working more than 30 years on electronic equipment of buildings as a designer and constructor of the most complex electroacoustic systems at home and abroad, a consultant for architectural acoustics, high school professor of electrotehnics and computing, and a senior lecturer of the courses: Electroacoustics, Digital signal processing and Processing of audio signals in professional studies department of Electrical Engineering, University of Split. Research and teaching areas: research issues electroacoustic systems, designing electroacoustic devices and public address systems in all types of buildings. Acoustical consulting for facilities needs meticulous listening and music recording. Digital processing of audio signals and ultra-high resolution. He has extensive experience in the formation and implementation of university educational programs in the field of electroacoustics and signal processing. He is a member of several international professional associations, the author of several books, CD-ROMs, and more than 60 professional and popular articles published at home and abroad (some listed below). The books are required reading and basic source of knowledge at the University of Zagreb, University of Split, Academy of the Arts in Split, University of Maribor, University of Novi Sad on courses: Ozren Bilan is married, has two sons and two grandsons. For many years, his hobby is archaeoacoustics, and on this site (perhaps the first in Croatia) he has published several articles with archaeoacoustic analysis including the spectra and spectrograms effects on ancient complexes: Chichen Itza in the architecture of the ancient Mayan civilization, ancient Greece Theater in Epidaurus, underground Temple Hypogeum Hal Saflieni in Malta, Newgrange in Ireland, Nekromanteion at Acheron, Chavin de Huantar in Peru, Gobekli Tepe in Turkey, Puma Punku in Bolivia, Maeshowe in Orkney, Gol Gumbaz Bijapur ... Since all ancient complexes regardless of age, are based on the same principles and with the similar purpose, in these articles in the 2014 he proposed, using Matlab, Adobe Audition, Arta i Harvard-Falstad, some new theories and hypotheses explaining archaeoacoustics effects and petroglyphs. In addition, he explained the shapes and the position of Gobekli Tepe and of the Diocletian's quadriburgia on Limes Arabicus. He also proposed a new archaeoacoustics and archaeoastronomic theory of Vestibule and Diocletian's Palace in Split. Time will tell whether he was right ... International Conference "Anthropology Today" was held in 2015 at the University of Zagreb the Faculty of Philosophy. With the development of technology in natural sciences anthropology has faced the challenges of interdisciplinarity. The newest area is digital processing of audio signals applied through archaeoacoustics. At the conference were invited and presented papers from this site related to the subject matter of archaeoacoustics and archaeoastronomy. Rođen je u Splitu. Diplomirao je s temom Odnos čovjek-elektroakustički sustav s kibernetičkog gledišta na odjelu Elektrotehnike Fakulteta elektrotehnike strojarstva i brodogradnje Sveučilišta u Splitu i stekao naziv dipl. ing. elektronike. Završio je i naobrazbu na Fakultetu prirodoslovno matematičkih znanosti Sveučilišta u Splitu i položio stručni ispit Ministarstva znanosti, obrazovanja i športa RH: profesor informatike – računalstva. Završio je seminar: Savez inženjera i tehničara Hrvatske s Uvjerenjem za poslove s ovlaštenjima u nadzornoj i investitorskoj djelatnosti. Stručni seminari: European Clinics, Frankfurt, Zagreb, Altec Lansing, USA i d&b audiotechnik GmbH, Backnang, Njemačka, Opatija. Nakon diplomiranja više od 30 godina radi na elektroničkom opremanju objekata kao projektant i konstruktor najsloženijih elektroakustičkih sustava u zemlji i inozemstvu, konzultant za arhitektonsku akustiku te kao viši predavač kolegija: Elektroakustike, Digitalne obrade signala i Digitalne obrade zvučnih signala na odjelu stručnih studija Elektrotehnike Sveučilišta u u Splitu. Znanstvena i nastavna područja: istraživanje problematike elektroakustičkih sustava, projektiranje elektroakustičkih uređaja i razglasnih sustava na svim tipovima objekata. Akustički konzalting za objekte s potrebama pomnjivog slušanja i snimanja glazbe. Digitalna obrada zvučnih signala visoke i ultravisoke rezolucije. Ima iskustvo u formiranju i izvođenju nastavnih programa iz područja elektroakustike i obrade signala.
Član je više međunarodnih stručnih udruženja, autor je više knjiga, CD-ROMova te više desetaka stručnih i popularnih članaka objavljenih u zemlji i inozemstvu, od kojih neke navodimo. Knjige su obvezna literatura i temeljni izvor znanja na Sveučilištu u Zagrebu, Sveučilištu u Splitu, Umjetničkoj akademiji u Splitu, Univerze v Mariboru, Univerzitetu u Novom Sadu na kolegijima: Ozren Bilan je oženjen, ima dva sina i dva unuka. Dugi niz godina hobi mu je arheoakustika, te je na ovom site-u (možda prvi u Hrvatskoj) objavio više članaka s arheoakustičkom analizom spektra i spektrograma pojava na drevnim kompleksima: arheoakustički učinci Chichen Itza u arhitekturi drevne civilizacija Maja, antičke Grčke Epidaurus, podzemni hram Hypogeum Hal-Saflieni na Malti, Newgrange u Irskoj, Nekromanteiona kod Aheronta, Chavín de Huántar u Peruu, Gobekli Tepe u Turskoj, Puma Punku u Boliviji, Maeshowe na Orkneyu, Gol Gumbaz Bijapur... Budući da su svi drevni kompleksi, bez obzira na starost, temeljeni na istim principima i s istom svrhom, u spomenutim člancima je 2014. primjenom Matlab, Adobe Audition, Arta i Harvard-Falstad, predložio neke nove teorije i hipoteze koje objašnjavaju arheoakustičke pojave i petroglife. Pored toga, objasnio je oblike usmjerenja Dioklecijanovih quadriburgia na Limes Arabicus te je predložio novu arheoakustičku i arheoastronomsku teoriju Vestibula i Dioklecijanove palače u Splitu te Vitruvijevog čovjeka kao temelj arhitektonskog plana. Vrijeme će pokazati je li bio u pravu... Međunarodna konferencija Antropologija danas održana je 2015. na Filozofskom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu. Razvojem tehnologije prirodnih znanosti antropologija se suočila sa izazovima interdisciplinarnosti, a jedno od najnovijih područja je digitalna obrada zvučnih signala primijenjena kroz arheoakustiku.
