Engineering
Very elaborate and sofisticated programs were used to project and measure this speaker which offers a very broad usable response. Its actual response is exceptionally flat and provides the listener with State of the Art performance. Due to its super flat response the reproduction takes on a very uniform character, imaging is firm and solid.
Drivers
Low frequency units and Midbass units are Audiotechnology from Denmark - These speakers are produced only on special order. Acceleration factor of this bass driver is 135, force factor is 17.67. Midbass driver acceleration factor is 499, force factor 7.26.
Dynaudio from Denmark have manufactured small number of the Esotar mid drivers per year. This part is handmade in matched pairs and shipped only when it passes the most stringent test procedures. It is the general consensus that the Esotar is one of the finest mid frequency reproducers ever made. That is why it is the mid driver of our choice in this price-no-object speaker systems. The Esotar has a very impressive appearance. Its soft dome is centered in a 155mm baffle. The baffle size keeps near field diffraction to a minimum, ensuring the flattest response and smoothest phase. The magnetic structure is very large and heavy which with specially formed coil and back hole can withstand transients up to 1000 W. (Production of this driver is discontinued at the moment)
The high frequency driver is Morrel. In this monitor it works in the most linear region regarding amplitude, phase and impuls behaviour as showed by MLS measurement.
